Resin8 Surfboards represents over five years of research and development utilizing state of the art methods of surfboard construction to build a stronger, lighter, faster shortboard without compromising performance. Resin8 surfboards use the latest in high grade epoxy resins, aerospace quality cloths and triple density foam cores which are vacuum formed resulting in a composite construction engineered to be flexible and alive under your feet while maintaining lasting durability.

Legendary Australian shaper Sam Egan has provided the original shapes for the Resin8 quiver and his line of 16 high performance shortboards offer a full range of dimensions and models for anyone looking to take their surfing to the next level.

Mission: Our mission will always be to constantly strive to produce a quiver of quality surfboards that can perform in any conditions at the highest level, and to have a board in our range to suit the needs of any short board rider. Using ever advancing production methods and working closely with world class shapers, Resin8 will always be working towards taking your surfing and your quiver into the 21st century

Construction: RESIN8 surfboards use the latest in surfboard construction technology including the most advanced methods and techniques in epoxy resin, vacuum forming, and composite material with a focus on creating superior surfboard that will perform in all conditions. While many of these materials and methods are nothing new we have continuously tested and tweaked our production methods to arrive at our current level of quality and performance.

A triple density core which is vacuum formed and fine tuned by hand. We start with a low density EPS core and wrap it with a high density foam skin. Combined with our custom formulated epoxy the resulting board is 15% lighter than a traditional polyurethane surfboard.

Flex: Due to the specially engineered construction the boards feel more alive in the water. Our surfboards eliminate the centerline stringer, which actually limits flexibility, and allow the flex to utilize the sandwich construction to respond to the surfer and wave in a way the feels much more alive. The boards flex response accelerates it through turns and puts the surfer in places on a wave that seemed impossible. A good surfer will notice the difference as soon as he hits the water and starts paddling.

Performance: Resin8's provide greater buoyancy, a responsive flex pattern and, of course, an insane shape designed by Sam Egan and now Tokoro. The combination of technology and a master craftsmans design results in a board that is hard to blame when a surfer is having a bad day and can put you places on the wave normally difficult to get to. The boards flex characteristics allows it to load up with potential energy as a surfer starts a turn and then releases that energy through the turn resulting in a sling shot effect. The boards incredible durability is suited to surfers who push their equipment to the limits, particularly those who travel a lot and surf hollow waves that snap boards. We have over 4 years of R&D testing with Team Rider Feedback in order to perfect the formula, flexibility and finish to what we feel is an all around better surfboard than traditional methods.

Durability: The Resin8 experience goes farther than just exceptional performance. Resin8 boards are much stronger than most high performance boards on the market. The epoxy sandwich construction, make the boards lighter and stronger. This means no more pressure dings after only a few surfs and no more cracks when lightly bumped. The boards maintain integrity even after months of continued use. Look after your Resin8 surfboards and it will be with you for many more sessions than you could imagine.

Environment: As mentioned Resin8 Surfboards use epoxy resin and EPS foam which are materials determined to be exponentially less harmful during the construction process than traditional polyurethane foams and polyester resins used in most surfboards today. Add our vacuum forming construction technique, which traps any VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) during curing, and you get a surfboard that utilizes the safest materials and methods available today.
