Refund Policy
If you wish to return an item simply because you change your mind we will exchange or refund provided you return it within 28 days from the date of purchase, unworn and in its original condition with it's labels/barcode attached and with our original receipt. This does not apply to earrings, cosmetics, lingerie, swim-wear and sale items.
NNSS "Change of Mind" Policy
Natural Necessity is not legally obligated to give refunds of purchase price on items, or exchange them simply because you have changed your mind about the purchase. However, the NNSS "Change of Mind" Policy, allows you to buy presents and return them if the receipent doesn't like them, or if you simply change your mind. A refund, exchange of credit note of value equivalent to the purchase price will be offered for most items provided that: (a) you return the item within 28 days from the date of purchase; and (b) the item is unworn and in its original condition; and (c) all original labels and tickets are attached to the item; and (d) you provide a Natural Necessity receipt as proof of purchase. Our "Change of Mind" policy does not apply under any circumstances to purchases of the following items - earrings, cosmetics, lingerie, swim-wear and sale items.
Our customers' right to a refund of purchase price
Our customers are entitled to a refund if the item is faulty, not of merchantable quality or not fit for its purpose. Natural Necessity's policy under these circumstances is: You, the customer, are entitled to a refund for items you purchase from Natural Necessity if the item is: (a) faulty or the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or would have been apparent to you when you inspected the goods before purchase; or (b) not "of merchantable quality", meaning that it is not of the quality that you reasonably expected when you purchased it, bearing in mind the way the item was described to you before purchase and also the price of the item; or (c) not fit for it's purpose, meaning that the item does not do what you reasonably expected it would; and you return the item within a reasonable time after purchase and provide Natural Necessity with proof of purchase, such as your Natural Necessity receipt or bank statement. If you do not return the item within a reasonable time, you will not be entitled to a refund at the purchase price but you will be entitled to exchange the goods or have them repaired. Natural Necessity reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that they did not cause or create the fault in the item. If you are entitled to a refund but you would prefer to exchange the item or receive a credit note of equvalent value to the item, Natural Necessity is happy to do this for you.
Repairs & Warranties
For faulty product, the manufactures have warrantees that will take care of most problems, if you return the product to us or directly to the manufacturer with a copy of the receipt. It is important to note: (a) items are only covered by warranty with proof of purchase - eg: purchase receipt or bank statement (b) warranty returns very from company to company (c) all garments that have been washed or worn must be sent back for assessment with proof of purchase (d) all items must be returned dry - eg: wetsuits (e) zippers and seams on accessories carry a 3 month warranty with proof of purchase (f) items that can be repaired will be. For items that can not be repaired, the company will either send a replacement or instruct Natural Necessity to issue a credit note to the customer for the original purchase price (g) each company has the right to refuse a warranty claim if they believe the garment has been tampered with or the fault not to be in the workmanship or materials (h) all repairs, replacements or credits in most cases can take up to 2 weeks from date of return (and can be up to 3 weeks during peak times, such as after Christmas)
Online surfboard purchases:
Every surfboard manufacturer has their own returns policy, which may involve replacing faulty items. If you believe your board has a manufacturer's defect, please call the shop to speak to one of our board experts. Note: No one covers skateboards and surfboards from breaking , or bodyboards from creasing. Natural Necessity Surf Shop is not responsible for additional shipping costs due to returned items.
Phone and Mail Orders:
It's best to visit the store to try on items and check out the full range available. If you wish to purchase by phone/fax/mail we are more than happy to serve you. Some of our suppliers supply catalogues of all, or some of their products, which we are happy to mail out if you are in a remote area. We do not have a catalogue for the Natural Necessity Surf Shop because of the massive range carried. You can phone order anything in the shop, or anything that's available from our suppliers and pay by Credit Card, Bank/Cashiers Cheque or Money Order. Individual frieght charges will be quoted at time of ordering. It's best to phone order Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm Australian Eastern Standard Time so we can phone you back within minutes with availability. Our suppliers are open then.
